A Belated WELCOME to a Great Year of

 Dance!

Indeed, a belated welcome to another great year of dance! Thank you for your patience as I was pulling "double duty" as full time substitute teacher in the Queen Anne's County High School Dance Dept. and getting our studio going for the new year.

Mrs. Kristen has returned from maternity leave to the high school and will be returning to the studio beginning the first week of November on Mondays and Wednesdays. An extra thank-you to Mrs. Sheryl for all the extra hours of classes taught.

Now that things are somewhat settled, look for periodic newsletters like this one, in print, posted on bulletin boards, and as email attachments.

You can also check the website at any time for dates, policy information, and other details.

I have lots of little odds 'n ends, tidbits, reminders, etc., so PLEASE read on to stay informed!

Tuition Notes & Reminders

If you are paying your tuition monthly, it is due the first week of the month. Late fees will post automatically to accounts not paid by the 10th of the month. You may pay by cash, check, or credit card, in person, by mail, or online. If paying at the studio, please place your payment in the lock-box by the entrance. Envelopes are only required for cash payments.

Monthly statements ARE NOT sent out. It is your responsibility to keep up with your child's tuition. You can check your account balance, your last payment amount/date, and pay your tuition online at any time through our website, www.midshoredance.org.

A Few Simple Requests....

  • Please do not have your child(ren) wear their dance shoes to and from the studio! This tracks unnecessary dirt onto our dance floors (not to mention bits of rock or worse) and will greatly decrease the life of the shoes.
  • Please have pre-ballet students use the restroom before class so we can avoid the inevitable parade of "I have to go potty" that follows the first child.
  • PLEASE have necessary hair supplies for your child, and put your child's hair up before class. We do keep supplies on hand for "emergency" use, but it's unrealistic (and perhaps unfair) to expect us to supply hair products for everyone. It delays our ability to start class in a timely fashion if we must also put in ponytails, etc.
  • While in the main waiting area, please be aware of the noise level and be courteous to classes in progress.
  • Please no tapping in the waiting area - the floor is slippery and not suited for tap shoes - it's also rather noisy
  • PLEASE PLAN AHEAD for your arrival to the studio...allow time for your child to change clothes, use the restroom, etc BEFORE class begins.

Did You Know?....

  • We have loaner shoes and dancewear organized on the big shelf in the waiting area by the entrance. These items are available for long-term, short-term, or single day use. Donations of clean items in wearable condition are welcome anytime.
  • We have a "Keurig" single cup coffee brewer that parents and students( age 12 and up) are welcome to use. There is a donation can next to the brewer - suggested donation= $1. Not just coffee, but hot chocolate, too!!!
