2008 - 2009 Tuition Fees and Policies

• Tuition rates are based on a year’s attendance and incorporate all scheduled holidays.  If you choose to make “Monthly” payments, they are simply the year’s tuition broken into installments and are not based on a specific number of classes per month.  Students that miss classes due to illness, vacation, or single-day holidays (such as President’s Day) are welcome to attend a make-up class another day.

• Tuition rates are based on the weekly number of class hours totaled for all students within the family that are enrolled.  Adult class sessions, if offered, have separate tuition rates.

   

• With the exception of “Unlimited Hours” of attendance, prepaid tuition for the year is discounted 10% if paid in full by the first week of classes.  Please be aware that prepaid tuition is non-refundable except in cases of extreme illness, injury, or family emergency.

• You may pay on whatever schedule best suits your budget, full amount, ½ yearly, quarterly, semi-monthly, or monthly.  Payments are simply deducted from the total tuition amount until a zero balance is reached.

• If paying monthly, tuition is due the first week of the month.  A late fee of $5 will be applied to the amount due if payment is not received by the 15^th of the month.  Payment envelope books are available for your convenience. *Monthly billing statements are not sent out*.

• Accepted payments:  Cash (in a sealed enveloped marked with the student name), check payable to the Academy Art Museum, and Visa/Mastercard.  Payments may be dropped in the lock box in the upstairs hallway at the Museum during class hours, or mailed to the director’s address, 1030 Carmichael Rd., Queenstown, MD 21658.

•  PreBallet tuition is based on nine months of attendance, September to May.  “Upper Level” classes (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern) are based on ten months of attendance, September to June. 

• Academy Art Museum members receive a 10% discount on all listed tuition amounts.

PreBallet Tuition – Individual or Family

One class per week:                                                                 $   360 (minimum monthly payment of $40)

Two classes per week:                                                             $   684 (minimum monthly payment of $76)

Three classes per week:                                                          $1,008 (minimum monthly payment of $112)

 

“Upper Level” Class Tuition – Individual or Family

Up to one hour per week                                                            $   440 (minimum monthly payment of $44)

One-and-a-half hours per week (one class)                              $   600 (minimum monthly payment of $60)

Up to two hours per week (two classes)                                   $   840 (minimum monthly payment of $84)

Two-and-a-half hours per week (two classes)                          $1,080 (minimum monthly payment of $108)

Up to three hours per week (two or three classes)                   $1,200 (minimum monthly payment of $120)

Up to four hours per week                                                         $1,500 (minimum monthly payment of $150)

Up to five hours per week                                                          $1,750 (minimum monthly payment of $175)
