The Mid Shore Dance Academy DELTA Program (which will be growing to include Junior Faculty Training!)
Ideal DELTA candidates are:
experienced dancers, in 6th grade and above
able to demonstrate dance technique clearly with adequate balance and flexibility
mature, responsible, and excellent models of character both inside the studio and out
punctual and have excellent attendance
self-starters, and proactive decision makers
enthusiastic to share their love of dance with young children
Accepted DELTA Dancers will receive:
training in studio curriculum and classroom management techniques
experience working with young dancers in class and performance
service learning and leadership experience
a modest tuition discount (10% off)
Summer 2025 Training Schedule
Mondays, during summer session, the weeks of June 23 thru July 21
DELTAs will assist scheduled camp session (4:30-5:45), and get additional training, with a short 1/2 hour meeting after (until 6:15)
DELTAs must attend at least 1 session in Centreville with Mrs. Shari and 1 session in Easton with Miss Kendall. If transportation availability (or lack thereof) is an issue with getting to the further location by 4:30, please arrive as soon as you safely can. Of course, assisting with more than just 2 sessions would be preferred, if schedules allow
Dancers with previously scheduled conflicts with these training sessions will need to schedule alternate hours to complete the training. Contact Mrs. Shari!
DELTA meetings will be scheduled with your assigned instructors to occur during "Welcome Week", Sept 2 - 4, before classes begin Monday, Sept 8
Additional periodic meetings (1 per session) will be scheduled through the school year for class planning, review, and additional training
