Dancers get the most benefit from enrolling in all four sessions, and we do accept registrations into later sessions if space permits. Dancers must start classes within the first two weeks of a session to participate. Dancers must be enrolled in Sessions I & II for participation in our Holiday Showcase. Dancers must be enrolled in Sessions III & IV for participation in our June Recital.
Because we limit our class sizes to provide the best possible education, we cannot hold space in class without an enrollment deposit.
No. We apply our age guidelines equitably to all.
Clear age guidelines prevent confusion in registration for parents and help us to maintain age appropriate curriculum standards for dance class success. Even if your child is "mature" for their age, their physical development is most likely similar to their school-aged peers.
Your child is still holding space in that class and the whole group is included in class planning, so we are unable to reduce tuition for missed classes. Dancers can make-up missed classes by attending another section of their class, or attending a similar age group/level. Contact the studio to make arrangements.
We are shifting away from selling shoes through the studio, but will continue to keep tights on hand. We recommend purchasing through a known dancewear supplier, and are partnered with
Discount Dance Supply. See our "Dress Code" page for direct link with appropriate dress code items shown by class.
We have video monitors available to view classes from the lobby. To minimize distraction, we do not have parents in the studios while classes are in progress. For very young children with separation anxiety, we can assist your child in gaining confidence and independence.
We do not have a competition team, but do have a Performance Company to give dancers additional performance experience without the expenses of travel and competition fees. Performance Company placement is by audtion/invitation. For more details, see our "CrossCurrents" Company Page under the "Programs" tab.
